Thought of the Day
Even so ye, forasmuch as ye are zealous of spiritual gifts, seek that ye may excel to the edifying of the church. ~ I CORINTHIANS 14:12
Paul is telling us that we should be zealous of spiritual gifts, but that the motive is that the Body of Christ would be edified. Edification of the Body doesn’t mean that we all feel good or are happy, but that the will of God would be accomplished and that we would be prepared for use. This is His Body and is needed for further His Kingdom. What if the whole Body had the love of God for His creation that He does? We would all strive to the betterment of the Body that the love of God could abound to every creature. If we have this love, the supernatural leadership would be present. In Galatians Paul tells us that faith works by love. I believe everything must work by that same love.
Job 42:2-4 King James Version (KJV)
1 Then Job answered the LORD, and said, 2 I know that thou canst do every thing, and that no thought can be withholden from thee. 3 Who is he that hideth counsel without knowledge? therefore have I uttered that I understood not; things too wonderful for me, which I knew not.
